Solstice
Today is winter solstice, the shortest day in the northern hemisphere. For all you snowed in people in London and elsewhere, welcome longer days ahead and celebrate this weekend’s saturnalia.
Also as remarked everywhere it is a lunar eclipse too, though not visible from every part of the globe. In conjunction with the solstice, it is a one in nearly 400 year event. So enjoy moon watching on the longest night of the year!
